To work with ones hands is a laborer; to work with ones hands and brain is to be a craftsman; but to work with ones hands, brain and heart is to be artist.  ― Louis Nizer

Pointed collar with beads

Picture
Here is a pattern for making a collar with pointed ends, as opposed to the well known Peter Pan collar. It is quite an easy and quick make. The addition of beads to the pointy ends is optional, but adds an attractive detail. Feel free to try it and share your results if you would like.

My Sweet Socks

Picture
When my youngest daughter flew the nest, I decided to construct a sock that reminded me of her. Here, I present My Sweet Sock pattern, a toe-up crochet sock with a cute cupcake stitch design. This pattern is the result of a collaboration between the Mind and Muse Crochet Podcast and the Crochetcakes Podcast.

Miniature crochet sock

Picture
This is a pattern for a miniature crochet sock. The sock it produces has all the parts of a regular size sock: toe, foot, short row heel, leg and cuff. The final object is about 2 inches long and uses between 3 and 4 g of yarn. Use it to make key chains, Christmas ornaments or even jewelry. Enjoy!

NOTE: This pattern has been updated since it was first published.

Granny Got Lucky square

Picture
In this pattern I have taken the clover motif that I wrote up last February and I have “grannified” it. What I mean is that I have taken this crochet motif and enclosed it in a square. Ready to get lucky along with granny?? (Last update: 3/15/2019)
