Walking the talk
1) I am modeling for you today, my Halloween costume. As an accessory for my costume I have made a horned head band following a paid-for pattern by Carol Hladik Designs. You can find the pattern at https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/horned-headband . I used Red Heart Super Saver in black, held double and a 5.5 mm hook.
If you are interested in the make-up, I followed two tutorials found on YouTube,
1) I share the lacey fingerless gloves that I used for my son’s wedding. There were several runners’ up but I finally went for a pair in a Nude Colorway from DMC Omega #10 cotton using a 1.5 mm hook. I followed a free pattern by Cylinda Mathews that can be found at https://www.crochetmemories.com/blog/bridal-lace-pineapple-fingerless-gloves/
The gloves feature the pineapple stitch and the instructions are very clear.
2) I have continued to practice my spiral chord and in this case I put together a seashell necklace that I am loving. No pattern for this one.
3) I wanted a second accessory for my Maleficent, so I found a pattern for a crochet raven. If you are a fan of Disney’s Maleficent, you will remember that she is always accompanied by her familiar, Diaval. The pattern I used to make Diaval is by TNGiftsUA on Etsy.
I used Mimosa cotton/rayon blend in black with a 2.5 and 1.5 mm crochet hook.
